Reforming Prime Ministers Questions

"Prime Minister's Questions is merely "scrutiny by screech" and needs to be overhauled to make it more civilised" Says Speaker for the House of Commons John Bercow.

John Bercow wants to reform the Wednesday televised clash between the Prime Minister and MPs.

He thinks it should be an hour long to give backbenchers more of a chance to ask about issues that affect their constituencies.

PMQs, the part of Parliamentary business most-watched by voters, is characterised by fiery exchanges and jeers and boos from rival politicians.
