Brighouse High School in Calderdale is holding its own mock vote on Thursday as pupils representing the main parties seek to win the all-school vote. Candidates are campaigning in just the same way as their Westminster counterparts complete with hustings meetings, posters and canvassing.
Diana Wallis MEP and the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Calder Valley, Hilary Myers, dropped into the school and met the Liberal Democrat team of Chloe Tobin (the candidate), Charlotte Owens and the appropriately named William Clegg all from Year 9
They discussed campaigning tips and swapped stories from life on the campaign trail.
